Help has arrived

[edit]

You wanted some help, here I am! How can I help you? You can ask your questions right here, and I will respond. --JoanneB 22:12, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I want to know how to propose the moving of a page. I realize it has something to do with talk pages, but I'm not sure of the specifics. If you can help me, I'd be very grateful.

If you want to move a page, I think you'll find all the information you're looking for here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Renaming_%28moving%29_a_page --JoanneB 23:01, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Helpme

[edit]

Hi Ljlego, what can I help you with?--Commander Keane 22:27, 24 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Thank you for answering. I would like to know the template for an overly long introduction. Do you know?--Ljlego 22:40, 24 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think there is one. If there was, it would be in Category:Wikipedia maintenance templates. I recommend that you just add a message on the talk page of the article explaining that the introduction is too long.--Commander Keane 22:44, 24 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to know how to program variables into templates, specifically userboxes.

Help:Template may have some information on templates, or use examples. However, I would encourage you to simply write a couple of paragraphs about yourself on your user page. The use of userboxes (other than those identifying encyclopedic skills such as languages, and participation in Wikipedia projects) are discouraged on Wikipedia. I will help you with furthering the encyclopedia, but not userboxes.--Commander Keane 23:35, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Help again!

[edit]

{{help}} I found a page of blatant vanity. Where do I list that?-Ljlego 20:49, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for reporting it. It appears to have been taken care of. Next time, feel free to put a {{prod}} tag across the top. :) Nerwen 21:02, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ah. What about {{db}}?-Ljlego 21:03, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
If the page satisfies the CSD criteria (like this one apparently did), you can use the appropriate {{db}} template. - TwoOars 21:06, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Eh?

[edit]

What does orphaned mean? Please move to my talkpage if possible. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ljlego (talk • contribs) 19:01, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

It means (in the context of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Boudoir, if anyone else is listening in) that you missed step III of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion#How to list pages for deletion. Without that listing, nobody would see the nomination until someone else (in this case, my bot) found them in Category:Pages for deletion and listed it for you. —Cryptic (talk) 19:08, 12 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies. But I could've sworn I followed that step. Ah well, thank you very much for doing that for me. --Ljlego 19:16, 12 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Griffin Technology listed for deletion

[edit]
An article that you have been involved in editing, Griffin Technology, has been listed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Griffin Technology. Please look there to see why this is, if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.
