Welcome!
Hello, Lophiomys, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay.
There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}}
on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:
- Your first article
- Biographies of living persons
- How to write a great article
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- Help pages
- Tutorial
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!--Mishae (talk) 22:41, 30 August 2013 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 15:44, 3 September 2013 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia
[edit]Welcome, and thanks for your contributions on beaver phylogenetics. There is a lot to be done on rodents and other animals, and you should feel free to make corrections like this yourself. Your namesake the maned rat (wonderful animal) also deserves more coverage than it has now, for example. Ucucha (talk) 06:23, 6 September 2013 (UTC)
I'd like to echo the thanks. You provided an unusually thorough, cogent case for the changes to the article, and I wish more new users would take the time to do that. Sorry I couldn't be more directly helpful, but fortunately Ucucha (another rodent username, I see!) was able and willing. Sometimes I really love Wikipedia. --Rivertorch, writing as Rivertorch's Evil Twin (talk) 02:36, 8 September 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Moriori. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Yucca without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.
