Welcome![edit]

Hello, Lorelairobideaux, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Response[edit]

Hi! Unfortunately there's no way to restore the material if it didn't save to Wikipedia. I know that sometimes browsers will sometimes hold on to material if you accidentally click to another page, but this is usually only if it's within a few seconds and even then, depends on luck and the browser. I don't know that it would do this after being shut down and undergoing a virus cleaning. Sadly, I think that you'll most likely have to re-write the content again. I'm so sorry that this happened to you! Definitely make sure that you let your instructor know about this!

However something to keep in mind with the re-writing: you can use the prose and sourcing from the article on the burka ban in Australia, French ban on face covering, or the hijab by country pages (or from all of them) as sort of a jumping off point. If you copy anything verbatim or closely paraphrase, make sure that you attribute this to the source page in your edit summary akin to "adding content, some of which was paraphrased from X and Y page". Ideally of course this would all be in your own words, but it's fine to reuse content from Wikipedia as long as you attribute in the edit summary.
