Can I help?

[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you're editing your own user page, which is a replica of the draft article that I reviewed a declined just a moment ago. While you're of course welcome to edit your user page (although it shouldn't look like an article, which yours at the moment does — see WP:COPYARTICLE), I can't help wondering why you're doing what you're doing — wouldn't it be better for you to edit instead the declined draft, with a view to resubmitting it for review at some point? Anyway, let me know if there's anything I can help you with. Best, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 11:07, 2 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
Thank you for your reviewing, but I'm not sure to understand what you mean. Would it be better to edit my draft from the Sandbox ?
Thanks in advance.

I'm saying that your user page at User:Loreno6092 seems very similar in content to the draft article at Draft:Jean-Louis Faure (sculptor) which you had created on March 20. Earlier today I reviewed that draft as part of the AfC (Articles for Creation) process, and declined it. Declining means that it has to be worked on further, and then resubmitted for another review; this process continues until it is accepted for publication, at which point it gets moved to the main article space and becomes visible to the public.
Now, the reason for my earlier message was that I noticed that today you have been editing your user page, and I can't think of a reason why you would do that, other than perhaps, if you're planning to copy & paste the content at some point into the AfC draft, and submit that for review again. Even then, it would make much more sense to be working on that draft directly, and just get rid of the copy on your user page, because you should not submit that for AfC review anyway, as otherwise there would be two drafts on the same topic in the system. Besides, at some point your user page may get deleted, because you shouldn't have content on your user page that looks like an article, as I mentioned earlier.
Hope that clarifies things, but if you have any more questions, fire away! Best, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 14:32, 2 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for these explanations.
So, I will modify and correct my draft article at Draft:Jean-Louis Faure (sculptor)I'couldn't find until you give me the link.
Then, I will re-submit à new version of this draft.

Hi DoubleGrazing,
I've just re-submitted my draft page, applying all your remarks & advices. I't's now lighter, more english-speaking focused. I've suppressed all unuseful references, and added some.
I hope this final cut will do !
Thanks,

Hi — I had left two comments in the draft. The one on the top, 'Suggested improvements', is just that — suggestions on how you might develop the draft further; you can use or disregard those suggestions, up to you. Below it is another comment, which is what I entered when I declined the draft. Please read that comment carefully, as well as the grey box inside the pink field (that starts "This submission is not adequately supported...") — those are the reasons why this draft cannot be accepted.
In simple terms, every material statement should be supported by a citation to a reliable source. Currently, there are only three such citations, which is nowhere near enough (there is no 'right' number, but for an article of this size I would certainly expect to see dozens). That bottom comment of mine points you towards two sources of useful guidelines, WP:REFB for advice on referencing, and WP:BLP for guidance on articles on living people (and yes, I know this person is no longer living, but he is so recently deceased that he should be treated as if he were still alive). Please read those guidelines, they are very important.
