Revealing Local History at Gloucester Archives 21 November 2015[edit]

If you are interested in the history of the local Gloucestershire area & access some good sources, you might like to come to an event where I have been asked to act as a trainer for Wikimedia UK at Gloucester Archives on 21 November 2015 entitled Revealing Local History. It is a joint event with Victoria County History (VCH) and British History Online (BHO) - (see Wikipedia:Meetups/UK/Gloucester Archives Nov 2015 for the outline).— Rod talk 07:09, 15 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

On one hand a visit to Gloucester Archives would be interesting if only to review the material I've been trawling on-line in search of clarification of the history of 'Weston Subedge' and 'Aston Subege', but to be honest arguing with others on the finer points of how you lay out a reference is the reason I gave up contributing to wikipedia in the past ... that and having pages removed as not noteworthy when we need them to complete the history of something. At this stage it's pencilled in my diary but it is not a high priority and given the amount of time I waste sorting out Microsoft crap, clients do take priority Lsces (talk) 06:51, 16 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
