The article Jitendra Joshi has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. CrossTempleJay talk 17:09, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
- I've removed the prod from the page as BLP doesn't apply to dead people. — Bility (talk) 22:10, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
Jitendra Joshi article
[edit]Hi, I've been helping you work on the article and I'm glad you've added a source. If you could please translate the source, I'll put it into the appropriate templates. Since you've said you'll mainly be writing the article using book references, I've set up the reference system using short footnotes to make it easier to cite the same few sources multiple times. If you can give me, in English, the title of the book you are using, the author(s) first and last name(s), the publisher, and the year the book was published, I will make the reference for you. Then, whenever you need to cite something in the article text, you can use a template with the author's last name, the year of publication and the page(s) you're citing from, like {{sfn|Author|Year|p=nn}}
. Thanks, and let me know if you need any help with anything! — Bility (talk) 22:10, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you for providing the information on your sources! I've included them in the article, but since I don't know which statements come from which sources, I just put them both at the end of the article text. Also, instead of using the short footnote style, I changed it to normal references, as the sources are just a page within the books, not entire books. The long references you see with
{{cite book}}
inside them only need to be made once. Subsequent citations can use the name parameter like <ref name="Gohil" /> or <ref name="Patil" /> depending on which source you're using. I'll keep an eye on the article in case you run into any trouble, or if you have questions please leave me another message and I'd be happy to help! By the way, I put that the sources were in the Gujarati language, but if that's not the case just let me know and we'll fix it. Cheers! — Bility (talk) 05:52, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
