Recent code updates and changes

[edit]

The recent code updates and changes don't really simplify or improve the template. The issues I see:

  1. Using {{loop}} is gross and doesn't really simplify anything;
  2. Requiring a hardcoded message length is gross;
  3. The bubble itself got shifted to the right and a newline got added in the code updates;
  4. In a multi-line message, the borders wouldn't be < and >, they would be vertical pipes.

Hope that clarifies my revert. --MZMcBride (talk) 16:44, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I understand, that's fine. However, it would have been great if the template automatically resized itself according to the message size. I guess I failed in that attempt. I'm sure even you'd have to admit that it would have been brilliant if it could have done that. Thanks. Set Sail For The Seven Seas 323° 40' 0" NET 21:34, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
