Image tagging for Image:Cetrdeset mucenika.jpg

[edit]

I think there's something wrong with the image. When I go to Image:Cetrdeset mucenika.jpg and then click on the link "Image in higher resolution", it says, "The image “http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/3f/Cetrdeset_mucenika.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.". Do you have a program like Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop that you could open the image with? The deleted image has the same problem - neither of them show up. When I ty to view the deleted image, I get "The image “http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Undelete&target=Image%3ANikola_Pesic_Pink.jpg&file=0furb8htcwrmm37xl3fopk72h4cr9pwq.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.". I would suggest trying to open the two images with an image editing program, then re-saving them.
As for tagging the image, the particular permission that the author gave you is important. Wikipedia does not accept images where the permission given is "to upload it to Wikipedia". The author needs to explicitly release the image under the GFDL, or another compatible license. If you contact this individual and he/she is willing to release the image inder that license, then here is what you should put on the image description page:
This photo is a picture of ______________. It was taken by ____________. He (or she) agreed to release it under the GFDL in personal correspondance.

==Licensing==

{{gfdl}}
I hope that helps. --BigDT 12:11, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The language, "he allowed me to upload it on Wikipedia" is probably not good. It would be better to (1) confirm with him that he intends for it to be released under the GFDL then (2) say "he agreed to release it under the GFDL in personal correspondance". --BigDT 12:14, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The image looks fine now. As for placing comments in both places, I like to keep conversations readable, rather than spread out over different talk pages. That way, if the conversation needs to be referenced sometime in the future, it isn't a struggle to read it. By adding my comment on my talk page, there's an unbroken chain of our conversation. --BigDT 12:42, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image tagging for File:Ibis.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Ibis.JPG. You don't seem to have said where the image came from or who created it. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Пријевод

Hi, Jagoda!

I need your help for some translations.

Can you please translate articles about songs sr:Креће се лађа Француска and sr:Тамо далеко (with text of song in article, example on en wiki) into catalan and spanish language?

Of course, if you want, can and have time.

Thank you very much!

PS. You will get some awards if you do this. ;-) --93.87.142.136 (talk) 20:16, 19 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
