User talk:Maltiti
Welcome

Thanks to Nishkid64, I now realize that I have recently created a whole new profile. I've been a Wikipedia contributor before (err, for better or for worse). Specifically, I was involved in the creation of the dreadlocks page.
Here's my original talk page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Maltiti2005
So my question is: How do I merge my two profiles? Is it bad that I have more than one?
Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

Hmm.. Well! Sounds like a bit of a dilemma. Basically, you can manually transfer all the stuff from your user page to the new one, but theres no real way to merge the contributions. Let me know what you want, and I may be able to do it for you, and also mark the other account as an "Alternate account". You ask if it's bad to have more than one account. Sometimes: yes. For example some people use "Sockpuppets"(the official name for several accounts), to vote several times on Vote | Pages. Read WP:SOCK for more info. But yeah, let me know exactly what you want to do, and I'll see what I can do for you! Thanks :) --Deon555talkReview 00:56, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- Doing a transfer of my old page to my new one makes sense. I did want to keep a thorough listing of my contributions though but, as you said, it's not possible.
- Since I had no idea that we could do anything other than help with the fundraisers, I didn't know about the sockpuppet issue.
- BTW, I love love love your Wikipedia personal space: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Deon555
- Very nice!
- I'll post a short message on your Talk Page to point you back over here, if you're still able to assist.Maltiti 05:22, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, which account (Maltiti or (Maltiti2006) is the main account?
- Well, I guess it would make sense to move the OLD profile...
- ...to the NEW one (the one I'm using now with user name Maltiti). Is that okay? Sorry for taking so long to respond :-/ Maltiti 01:23, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
re:Ken Evoy
[edit]A tag has been placed on Ken Evoy, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Ronz 18:09, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- I can't comment on whether or not this page should have been deleted, but creating it as a blank page with a delete tag is not the correct way to go about restoring it. I would contact an admin, such as User:The Epopt, and ask them to restore the page to your subpage, and ask them to take a look and tell you what was wrong with it, if anything. - I recreated Ken Evoy and submitted it to AfD. It is sure to be deleted in its current form, but a prompt rewrite may save it. Don't forget to cite your sources. Good luck! ➥the Epopt 23:43, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned fair use image (Image:Sitesell.gif)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Sitesell.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. VandalProof
[edit]"(Reverted 3 edits by IP REMOVED (talk) to last revision (103294656) by Maltiti using VP)"
The above means that 3 edits were done by IP REMOVED and I reverted the edits back to the last edit that was made before them (which happened to be your edit). These specific 3 edits were vandalism so I cancelled the edits and changed the text back to the way it was when you last edited it. Thanks, Yonatan (contribs/talk) 05:15, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
Sitesell
[edit]A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Sitesell, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
