Hello. The Dr jonathan tucker article that you created has been moved to Jonathan Tucker (scientist). • Gene93k (talk) 12:15, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent contribution(s) to the Wikipedia article Jonathan Tucker (scientist) are very much appreciated. However, you did not provide references or sources for your information. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and as you might be aware there is currently a drive to improve the quality of Wikipedia by encouraging editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. If sources are left unreferenced, it may count as original research, which is not allowed. Can you provide in the article specific references to any books, articles, websites or other reliable sources that will allow people to verify the content in the article? You can use a citation method listed at How to cite sources. Thanks! • Gene93k (talk) 12:15, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Christopher Quigley requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Singularity42 (talk) 01:31, 26 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Christopher Quigley

[edit]

Christopher Quigley is instrumental in the research of mammals in North America. His fieldwork with whitetail deer, and black bears has aided in major disease prevention and disease transmission. I had done almost no work on the page and I tried to take a look at it(save it) and it had been 'requested for speedy deletion.' I hope this is not the case.

None of the above is in the article, however. If you have a source indicating his importance in the field, add it to the article and write a sentence or two that the reference supports. My suggestion would be to start the article in your user space until is ready to be a proper article (i.e User:Mark29adams/Christopher Quigley), or try the article wizard. Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Mark29adams! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 254 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Jonathan Tucker (scientist) - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

The article Malaclemys terrapin maximus has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not in the December 2010 IUCN turtle checklist or in the extensive synonyms list(2007) and it should be in the latter somewhere. The claim of discovery attributed to Jonathan Tucker (scientist) does not show in his bio, nothing in Google scholar. Appears to be mistake or hoax.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
