"Palpatine as a ruler" AfD

[edit]

Changed my vote here and left a comment. Someone must have put goofy pills in my coffee this morning. Perhaps there could be an article on "Star wars national leaders" that would cover some of his leadership aspects. I haven't read it all, but I'm assuming those articles are becoming rather large and begging to be split into baby articles. As I familiarize myself with how Wikipedia has the Star Wars stuff set up, perhaps I can offer some suggestions (sans goofy pills!). Cheers!

BTW: the "look at your hand" pic is awesome. --SpencerTC 00:11, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I can't claim any originality (aside from the caption)- I stole it from another user.
That article idea is interesting, but there aren't actually that many leaders that are that interesting; the authors (and indeed, Lucas himself) tend to find Palpatine one of the most fascinating characters, and so, he is very well developed. The only ones that come anywhere close in terms of being fleshed out would have to be Tarkin, Leia, and maybe Mon Mothma. --maru (talk) contribs 01:07, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Evangelion userbox

[edit]

I agree, I also prefer Asuka over Rei. ^ ^ --Deckiller 01:21, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

We are so congenial together! Let's get married, you and I! :) --maru (talk) contribs 01:22, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Lol. Lauren might kill me =P --Deckiller 01:31, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

SW copyvios

[edit]

Yeah, all these recent copyvios by our fellow editors are killing me. I'll try and clean them up soon, although I'm in the gutter today, so I don't know how much I'll be able to do... --Deckiller 19:35, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The real killer for me is that I own almost all these books- just not with me. :( --maru (talk) contribs 20:25, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I barely used the Wookieepedia article. I used a few terms such as 'cult' and 'backwater' but that was the extent of it. Wookieepedia gave me close to NO information, as they only had a "Publisher's Synopsis" so I went to many other sources to compile the article. --Dark jedi requiem 19:42, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You copied entire phrases. --maru (talk) contribs 20:31, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I used: "dreaded backwater world", "religious cult", and "hellbent". I used 6 words out of their 113. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dark jedi requiem (talkcontribs)

Revert format

I believe that's vandalism. Now since you seem to have a "standard" way to revert among you admins, I'll leave it you to you you. -Raijinili 04:02, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's taken care of; we don't have a standard way of reverting so much as the rollback software tool are so much better than manually reverting that nobody in their right mind ever does it unless they want to leave a message in the edit summary. --maru (talk) contribs 04:17, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the welcome

[edit]

And, as you asked, the name is just something I came up with some time ago (in high school, by my reckoning). It's meant to have at least two ways of reading, i.e. Zero-bot (0-bot) and also, a sort of German accented Ze Robot (a la Kraftwerk). Cheers! --Zerobot 04:27, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That's interesting. My user name is not nearly so well thought out. :( --maru (talk) contribs 04:34, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
