Some cookies to welcome you!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Meropidae! Thank you for your contributions. I am SchreiberBike and I have been editing Wikipedia for some time, so if you have any questions feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. You can also check out Wikipedia:Questions or type {{help me}} at the bottom of this page. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that will automatically produce your username and the date. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian!  SchreiberBike | ⌨  03:50, 7 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. I've seen several of your edits about birds. You might be interested in joining WikiProject Birds or at least seeing what's going on there. Also, please leave an edit summary when you are done with each edit so other people can see why you made a change. Keep up the good work.  SchreiberBike | ⌨  03:53, 7 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, SchreiberBike, I got your earlier message but in going to the Wikipedia explanations page, I found myself unable to negotiate my way back to you. I'm not savvy about making my way around or doing anything other than clicking the link, making the change and then saving. I assume I would switch to the TALK tab to leave an Edit Summary and will try to remember to do so in the future. Cheers, meropidae
This place is complicated, but you'll learn your way around. The edit summary is near the bottom of the page when you edit an article. It's the white space just a bit above the Save changes button. Keep having fun and let me know if I can help.  SchreiberBike | ⌨  21:37, 12 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Capitalization of species common names

[edit]

Hi Meropidae, I saw your work at List of birds of Bulgaria and wanted to let you know that Wikipedia's style is to put species common names in lower case unless there's a proper name involved. That's explained at MOS:LIFE. Keep up the good work.  SchreiberBike | ⌨  19:30, 31 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
