Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Mhjarron, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions, especially what you did for D'Arcy Wentworth Thompson. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Introduction to Wikipedia
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page and How to develop articles
- How to create your first article
- Simplified Manual of Style
Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}}
before the question.
I noticed that you didn't add a citation for your additions to D'Arcy Wentworth Thompson. It would be very helpful if you could cite the books, journals, websites or other reliable sources that you used. Please see WP:REFB for how to get started on this, or ask me, the teahouse, or use the help pages if you need anything.
Again, welcome! Chiswick Chap (talk) 16:28, 28 February 2013 (UTC)

Welcome!
[edit]Hello again, Mhjarron! Thank you so much for taking part in the Tayside Museums Forum training!
Now that we've created your userpage and learned the basics, I hope that you'll stay logged in and have a go at editing some articles. If you're not feeling bold enough to write an article straight away, why not try a small edit first, or adding a link? Don't worry about being perfect, Wiki is a constantly evolving entity. Fortunately there's a whole team of editors just like you who can help.
You can't break Wikipedia, but in case you're still nervous here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Getting Started guide for Galleries, Libraries, Archives & Museums
- Is your topic notable enough for an article?
- Be Bold!
- Don't let grumpy users scare you off.
- Learn from others
- How to write a great article
- A simplified manual of style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Remember, if you are writing on a talk page, please sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date.
If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and ask your question there. See you soon! Lirazelf (talk) 13:58, 16 November 2015 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Dundee Public Art Programme. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Mhjarron. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Dundee Public Art Programme, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 17:06, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
