Hey. Thank you! I tried to edit again and add the source; ( https:// www.worldometers.info/world-population/uk-population/) I picked it up from the U.K. page on Wikipedia, but the source they use is this one; (https://population.un.org/wpp/Download/Standard/Population/) I think I must have deleted something though? The page seems to have gone a bit weird?

[edit]I deleted your change because an increase of two million in two years is most unlikely, but maybe the figure for 2018 was wrong? Anyway the most important issue is that you wrote in the edit note "according to the latest UN figures", but you have not actually said where you read it. See WP:citing sources and WP:reliable sources. We can assume that the UN is a reliable source, so you need to give the URL (web page address) where you found it. Some wp:infoboxes can be difficult to edit so if you prefer, just paste it here and I will show you how to adapt it. Or you can put
{{helpme}}
here and someone else will be along to advise. --Red King (talk) 12:58, 27 April 2020 (UTC)
- I'm afraid that I have had to revert your edit again. The source you gave clearly says that it is a projected figure, making assumptions about fertility, mortality and migration. The base data (which it doesn't cite but assuming good faith) is the UN figure, which in turn is sourced from the British and Irish data, though we don't know as of what date. So really it is too conjectural to be considered a WP:RS, especially when reliable sources are available. Note also that, for a report published in mid 2019, we use the 'as at' date in the report, not the publication date.
- But on the positive side, you highlighted the fact that the previous figure was unsupported, which it should have been. It is now (and totals ~71.5M), so thank you. --Red King (talk) 14:14, 28 April 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that in this edit to Commonwealth of Nations, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 12:07, 23 May 2020 (UTC)
Hey. Yes I was trying to update the GDP to the latest available numbers, but something went wrong when I put in the references. The current figures on the page are not up to date. MikaelElias (talk) 22:33, 26 May 2020 (UTC)
