"L-twin"

[edit]

Please go to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Motorcycling and propose changing references to 90° V-twin engines to L-twin. Most reliable sources indicate that "L-twin" is a marketing term created by Ducati as part of their product branding, to differentiate their bikes from other motorcycles. V-twins with a 90° V angle are not a unique engine type, except in the imagination of Ducati marketers. Discuss this with other editors at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Motorcycling and see if you can gain their support for this change before changing more articles. --Dennis Bratland (talk) 01:38, 13 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
