[edit]

Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for working to improve the site with your edit to W.S. Merwin, as we really appreciate your participation. However, the edit had to be partially reverted, because Wikipedia cannot accept uncited material. Wikipedia requires that the material in its articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the article text in the form of an inline citation. Although there is a citation at the end of the sentence in question that supports the first half of the passage you added, it makes no mention of the information in the second half of it. If you ever have any other questions about editing, or need help regarding the site's policies, just let me know by leaving a message for me in a new section at the bottom of my talk page. Thanks. Oops! Thank you! I'm still learning. I had a source and should have just added it as an addition! 16:34, 19 March 2019 (EST)

No worries. Like I said, let me know if you ever need help. Nightscream (talk) 03:37, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Anthony Santos (dancer) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Anthony Santos (dancer), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. I think I'm doing this right! I added more sources and expanded some of the description, then resubmitted. Still learning. Thank you!

COI check

[edit]

Hello. Do you have any links to University of North Carolina School of the Arts or its employees? Regards, MrsSnoozyTurtle (talk) 23:34, 25 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm from a little town in North Carolina but I've never even lived in the town where the school is. All my schooling is from other places. I love ballet, but I'm a nerd and not coordinated enough to do it. Just super interested in it! Still learning Wikipedia and it seemed like a fun place to add some content when I get a chance. I like fencing too, but I've never done it either, so I ended up down that Wikipedia editing rabbit hole last year too. Sorry for the late response! I took a tech hiatus for the holidays. Also I think I'm signing this right? Thank you for keeping Wikipedia moving!

I see that when I didn't get back to you, one of the pages that I worked on got deleted, which I totally understand because you asked a question and I didn't respond. I resubmitted it for review (which seemed like the right thing to do), but I wanted to apologize again for not getting back!

Could you direct me to some support? The vastness of Wikipedia is a little daunting. I downloaded the image that was on the page from a public Facebook post when I was digging around to expand it. I wanted to figure out how to add a picture and an infobox to a page (I'd never done that before). I thought that would fall under fair use, but now looking at it I don't think it would be, so I requested a speedy deletion from Wikimedia Commons and deleted it from the draft page. Before I just move on from this to another subject (my interest has turned to vintage sewing machines lately) and let Wikipedia figure it out, I thought I'd see if I could learn something!

Thank you SO much! I love learning about this whole awesome process. 17:43, 11 January 2021 (EST)

MrsSnoozyTurtle I think I was supposed to tag you in my response! I've been on boards trying to figure things out. 7:22, 13 January 2021 (EST)
