A tag has been placed on Giordano Memorization System, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. ArglebargleIV 23:51, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:RD1.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:RD1.gif. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 09:07, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

Block lifted

[edit]

In accordance with discussion on unblock-en-l, in particular your undertaking that (quoting from your mail):

" I do not intend to recreate the articles that triggered my suspension but rather work with the material to comply with the main publishing principles e.g. verifiability, notability and the like. Although I also would like to mention that some topics may not be deemed as notable or easily verifiable as the others. Therefore some lack of publicity should not be a reason to ignore the existence of a phenomena. I will do my best though to draft my articles within the frame of what's acceptable and would also appreciate if you supervised my contributions for coaching purposes. I will also remove or edit my articles by myself if you let me know that you believe there is a breach. Although due to my busy schedule I may not be able to respond to your notes right away so please allow 48 hours for a response/action, if possible of course. "

and in concurrance with the blocking admin: NYC JD (talk · contribs · blocks · protections · deletions · page moves · rights · RfA) I have lifted your block. Please keep our core principles in mind. I suggest you spend some time improving articles that need it, outside your area of focus up to now, as a way to demonstrate that you are interested in general improvement of the encyclopedia... the category:Cleanup is a great place to look for articles that need grammar, spelling, layout, etc. help.

Once you've done some of that work (which is also a great way to learn more about our formatting and suchlike) I'd encourage you to return to work on the GMS article, which I have restored and userified at User:Mnemo7/Giordano Memorization System. Remember that what the article really needs are citations of this system in mainstream reputable publications (again, reviewing WP:N and WP:V will help a lot) so it can survive a deletion discussion as being about a real, notable, significant thing. Should you need any advice or assistance, just leave me a note at my talk page (and put it on your watch list, as I will likely reply there rather than here). Happy editing, I look forward to in future reviewing your contribution page and seeing lots of useful productive contributions in areas other than GMS. (see WP:SPA for why that's a concern)... but I do caution you that I do not take kindly to being taken advantage of, I will be first to reblock you if I see issues that warrant it. In future, talk, ask questions and avoid redoing things that don't receive favorable input rather than revert warring ++Lar: t/c 15:09, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
