Welcome to Wikipedia. You have been removing sourced criticism and adding unsourced promotion on Zayed University and edit warring to keep your version of the article. The additions seem to come from the university's own website, which is of course written in a promotional way, but Wikipedia is not for advertising; articles are supposed to be written in a neutral way. Please stop or you will be blocked from editing. Are you affiliated with the university? I notice you have edited nothing else. Bishonen | talk 12:42, 13 November 2014 (UTC).[reply]

Thank you Bishonen for the clarification. I am indeed working for Zayed University, and have been trying to update our wikipedia page, as per the official Zayed University website content : http://www.zu.ac.ae I have noticed that credible and sourced content that I have been trying to upload in regards to non-promotional material pertaining to academic information about programs and degrees offered, university structure, mission and vision is being removed. The only aim of this activity is to update outdated information, and add new initiatives and degrees, following a recent organisational restructure of the university. Please let me know what your recommendations are to proceed and avoid content being removed again. Monazu (talk) 06:45, 16 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, Monazu. I see you just fixed this problem, just as I was typing up a note for you about it! That's great. You may find Help:Referencing for beginners useful. Footnotes are preferred over inline URLs, and also, footnotes are the system used in this article, so it's better to use them. I'll change this for you, as an example. Here, done, hope that helps. You can see how I made the wikilink for the Asian list — that's a useful way to link to a Wikipedia article section — and also linked to our Khaleej Times article, so everybody can see it's a reliable source. A tag has been placed on File:Zayed University Abu Dhabi Campus.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Removal of outdated section

[edit]

Hello,

I am seeking guidance in regards to replacing the outdated and at times inaccurate "Controversies and Problems" section on our Zayed University Page with a more updated and current "Zayed University News" section. This section has long been outdated, as the transitional issues recorded under it have been rectified shortly afterwards that they don’t serve current Wikipedia readers or help those interested in learning more about what Zayed University has to offer students, faculty or staff. We are aiming to replace this section with a more updated, useful, and resourceful section that sheds mMonazu (talk) 05:55, 9 February 2017 (UTC)ore positive light on what Zayed University administration, faculty, staff and students have been up to (i.e.: in 2016, Zayed University has revamped its website, received the Apple recognition program for its Student Accessibility Services Department, and introduced the Zayed Virtual Bridge education platform which hosts short Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) for those wishing to advance their knowledge and career potential (https://zuvb.zu.ac.ae/) among others initiatives and accomplishments that are more updated and that reflect more positively on what Zayed University truly stands for.) Could you kindly advise on whether I can proceed with the above? Should you have any other recommendations, I would be happy to discuss them as well.[reply]

Best, Mona
