Nintendo DS homebrew

[edit]

Hi there. Based on our guideline's way to determined spam, Adding a link to the top of an unordered list is considered spam, and can be reverted. If you want your link to stay there, you can add it at the bottom. Trying to add it anywhere else will only get you a revert and a warning. I will have to plow through all the links of that article someday to see which ones are noteworthy and which ones are spam, but for now, the rule from the guideline is enough. Cheers! -- ReyBrujo 01:07, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Monsterfrog says: SpigotMap, you are a terrible user, deleting vast parts of wikipedia entries as you see fit. Please follow WP:NOT#BATTLEGROUND and work cooperatively with other editors, refraining from your edit wars i have seen evidence of in your talk page archives. I have also found you to be constantly in breach of WP:CIVILITY. Before deleting entire sections of wikipedia entries, please use the sandbox and talk to other users who have dedicated their time adding and improving that entry.

Please do not attack other editors. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.

Please remain civil at all times. Your comments regarding SpigotMap seem to be in breach of Wikipedia civility. Many thanks Sennen goroshi (talk) 05:03, 28 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your Warning

[edit]

The links on homebrew page are a clear violation of WP:NOT. Now don't go warning me about incivility when you are merely a single purpose account determined to have your link on the homebrew page. SpigotMap 16:09, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Nintendo DS homebrew. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on Nintendo DS Musical Interface requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Nintendo DS Homebrew

[edit]

What you must understand is that a single user can not delete anything. This encyclopedia works off of policy and consensus. Added mass links to an article is spamming, regardless of what the link is. DS Musical Interface was deleted because there was no evidence of it passing WP:NOTABLE (a policy). It is not clear whether Nintendo DS Homebrew even passing WP:NOTABLE. It is not hard feelings against you, I encourage you to keep editing, but the links are a blatant violation of policy. Take some time to check out some other articles, along with WP:EL and WP:NOT. Thanks! SpigotMap 18:49, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
