Wikipedia & knowledge activism workshop

[edit]

Hello again MoonRiver61! It was great to meet you last week, and I hope that you enjoyed the session.

Now that you've learned the basics, I hope that you'll keep on editing Wikipedia! I wanted to drop by and offer some links that might help you do just that.

The purple booklet attached to this message is a good how-to guide, but if you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Wiki is never finished - it's a constantly evolving entity. And there are a huge community of other editors out there who can help.

Here's some links that I hope you'll find useful:

To start a new article you can use your sandbox, or the Drafts function. You'll only be able to create new articles once your account is at least 4 days old, and you've made at least 10 edits in the main encyclopedia.

You can find out more about what's happening with Wikimedia in Scotland on the WMUK site here.

To keep up to date about Wikimedia events happening throughout Scotland, to learn more about ScotWiki projects, or to publicise your own ScotWiki event or project, join the ScotWiki Mailing List!

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. See you soon! Lirazelf (talk) 12:15, 29 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
