I am unable to "affix the template {{hangon}} to the page", and so am attempting to "put a note on its talk page".

I request a review with and option to edit the material that falls outside of Wikipedia criteria.

This is my first entry in to Wikipedia. I, therefor, am unaware of how to affix the template, or where to retreive it. Does this mean I must start over?

We do not have anything to sell, and wish to revise this page to meet the criteria. We would appreciate feedback. As a first time user of Wikipedia this is a little overwhelming, but we will learn quickly and follow all criteria. Attempting to revise, with guesses about what was not acceptable. Please provide feedback. Thank you.

  • Wikipedia articles must provide independent verifiable sources that they meet the notability guidelines. Youtube and your own website are not independent or reliable
  • They must be neutral and not be advertising, your article is pure spam full of of unsourced puffery, eg
  1. internationally heralded for their articulate eloquence
  2. Blending humor, grace, compassion and sorrow with striking visual effects and athletic physicality
  3. the company produces works of dance art that reach into the emotional realities of our time.

  • An encyclopaedia does not list everywhere a group has toured, let alone have a list of standing ovations!
  • Long sections of (positive only) reviews and quotes are more suited to a theatre poster than an encyclopaedia - pure spam again
  • Parts of this read as if copied from a website, although I didn't actually check because it was going to be deleted anyway. If so, it is a breach of copyright. If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:
  1. If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details on the article's talk page and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  2. If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at the talk page with a link to where we can find that note.
  3. If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on the article talk page.
  4. Alternatively, you may create a note on your web page releasing the work under the GFDL and then leave a note at the article talk page with a link to the web page details.
  5. Otherwise, you are encouraged to rewrite this article in your own words to avoid any copyright infringement. After you do so, you should place a {{hangon}} tag on the article page and leave a note at the article talk page saying you have done so.   • A couple of things I omitted to say
  1. advertising means "promotional" in this context, not necessarily selling a product
  2. You can write biographies of living people, but they must fulfil the notability guidelines, be neutral, and must be fully referenced because of the risk of legal action for libel - see George W. Bush, for example. Jimfbleak (talk) 12:00, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
