Image copyright problem with Image:Campusspeciallogo.gif
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:Campusspeciallogo.gif. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 16:07, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, the recent edit you made to The Campus Special has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Using Wikipedia for extra credit
[edit]No offense, I'm a sometime student myself; but using Wikipedia as a source of extra credit is a very unhealthy thing for our project, at least in the way you're going about it. Drop me an e-mail, or better yet have your professor drop me an e-mail, and maybe we can figure out a way to do something less disruptive to the Wikimedia project and its ethos. --Orange Mike | Talk 14:25, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
Deletion and how to proceed
[edit]Hi, I was the administrator that closed the deletion discussion as delete. I think it's a great idea that you're trying to incorporate improvement of an encyclopedia into an extra credit project. Extra credit usually doesn't come easily, and I hope you can take this deletion as just the first step along learning how to become a great contributor to this encyclopedia. Here's a link to a good starting point if you are really decided that you want to create an article: Wikipedia:Your first article.
There are other options though. (Orange Mike may have already talked to you about these.) There are many subjects that have already been deemed notable, but whose articles require expansion and/or improvement. Your assistance would certainly be appreciated in one of these areas. I'll leave a few suggestions here:
- Hudson's Bay Company: lacking inline citations. This would require you to find reliable sources for many of the statements, and cite them in the article using footnotes.
- Wikipedia:WikiProject Companies: this is a wikiproject whose goal is to improve the depth and breadth of coverage in Wikipedia of notable companies and to bring as many of these articles to good / featured status as possible. You could find an article on their lists of Category:Stub-Class Companies articles or Category:Start-Class Companies articles. These include articles that have been assessed by the Wikiproject as being about a notable subject and requiring expansion.
Hope you stick around. Sancho 17:58, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
