Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Mtnpkr821! I saw your question at the Teahouse and wanted to welcome you to the Wikipedia community. Quisqualis has given you good advice there. Am I correct in believing you are referring to the section titled "Notable Alumni" in the Friends Seminary article here? Wikipedia has various policies guiding what should go in articles; we can add information, but it should follow those policies. Some of the most relevant to your question are Notability and Verifiability. If your daughter is notable, she can have an article written about her (though it might look different than you expect). In that case, the information could be added to Friends Seminary with a citation to a reliable source. If she is not notable, then I'm sorry, but you should try someplace else. (If you like, you could look in this directory.)
This might feel very complicated and confusing at this point. Wikipedia can be a bit complex when you first get involved with it. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask/follow up! People at the Teahouse are happy to help. You can also ask here, or drop a line on my talk page and I'll be happy to help as well. Best wishes, Perfect4th (talk) 23:09, 12 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your kind reply. I suppose being "notable" covers a lot of territory, including some spheres one might not care to be a part of. It's really not that important, nor would it be a source of "satisfaction." It was just something that occurred to me after perusing the names on the Friends' Notable Graduates list, containing some that I knew. In addition to her kindness and generosity while she was with us, Chris will remain notable to all who received and will receive charitable donations, and, for as long as Friends Seminary is extant, the ongoing yearly recipients of the Christiana Ley Parker '92 Humanitarian Award grant long after I, and, I venture to say, everyone else now with us is gone. Thank you again, I do very much appreciate your reply. Be and keep well. 71.230.172.147 (talk) 04:08, 13 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
