Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Hyperion SoftCover Edition.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Hyperion SoftCover Edition.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Hyperion SoftCover Edition.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 08:29, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Rob Mungle

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Rob Mungle, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD a7.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Blair - Speak to me 06:08, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

H.E.D.Z.

[edit]

Hello Murakumo-Elite, thank you for your message. Actually, I have never heard of H.E.D.Z. (as I am of a generation that pre-dates PC games) but I am happy to have been of some help! All the best now. --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 22:39, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Atelier-G

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Atelier-G requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 11:08, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Murakumo-Elite, Check out the video that is linked at the bottom of the ferrofluid page. It explains how ferrofluid works at the molecular level. Best regards, Electricmic (talk) 04:45, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

April 2008

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Bleach (manga), is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. As Bleach is currently a GA rated article, please provide sources for any new additions. Collectonian (talk) 04:57, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tall order when everything at my direct disposal is liscensed material, everything else must be scrounged up online, and while the info i added was factual to the story, it will be difficult to verify everything, as the pool of officially unreleased data(japanese chapters)is about three times larger than the released info(VIZ volumes). I'll try to verify the data, it just takes time.

Proposed deletion of Silvana (Last Exile)

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Silvana (Last Exile), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Collectonian (talk) 07:03, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

SONAR question

[edit]

You asked this question:

"I hear there's a different type of sonar if a submarine is pinging for range to fire torpedoes at, something that upon using would constitute an act of war. I believed the term coined was "attacker sonar" and it is said it is very different from other sonar sounds used. Any info on this? Murakumo-Elite (talk) 00:38, 4 June 2009 (UTC)"[reply]

Er, what? A wise submarine commander would not be 'pinging' as that is an invite to get a torpedo (or other anti-sub weapon) up his...'baffles'. The whole idea appears to be, stay as quiet as possible and listen ('passive sonar'). Launch a torp. in the right direction, based on your listening and let that ping when it is close enough.
I may well be wrong, but I have never heard of 'attack' sonar. You may be thinking of radar, where apparently there are surveillance (detection) and targeting/attack radars with different characteristics that can be used to tell them apart. Putting a targeting radar on an armed US ship/aircraft would be very stupid. If not an act of war at least a very aggressive(& stupid) action. I believe that US pilots have shot down fighter planes(Libyan?) simply for trying to get on their tail. --220.101.28.25 (talk) 18:24, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
