Request reason:

I am a freelance Music Director for Sensoria Music & Film Festival, established in 2008, trying to get a Wikipage put up for the festival. Not really sure why I have been blocked or how to go about getting unblocked. Please advise.Sensoria 2011 (talk) 09:37, 17 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Do you understand that to be considered for an encyclopedia article, the subject must be notable?

Yes I am aware that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a business directory, that is not the purpose of me setting up an entry. Sensoria is a cultural festival that has taken place in Sheffield annually since 2008. I apologise if the username I used suggested a conflict of interest - I am new to Wikipedia. I consider the subject notable as Sensoria Music & Film Festival has been covered and mentioned on a number of Wikipedia pages - for example Cabaret Voltaire (band). It may not have been your intention to do so, but the article you wrote is promotional in tone. I certainly did not intend it to come across as promotional, in fact I followed a template for another local festival, the Sheffield Doc/Fest.
