Request reason:

I do not get paid by Ashinaga. I have volunteered with them before and am simply updating their information as I saw it was incorrect and I care that their pages best reflect them. Every change I have made is a correction over what was there before and updating with new developments such as new facilities. I was also replacing primary sources with secondary and tertiary sources. What I wrote to AcademicNinja was improperly stating my position and I was not directly told to change it, that was my mistake. My apologies. I was just validating why the things I was correcting were constructive and needed. I would appreciate being unblocked so I can correct the page and make it more accurate. Ashinaga is a good organisation that should be properly represented on Wikipedia. In the future I will make sure to add my COI in the proper manner. I am new to editing on Wikipedia and was unaware. I will look into the proper etiquette before I edit again. Thank you, and I hope you understand my foolish mistake.

Decline reason:

You will not be unblocked until:

If you have no interest in editing Wikipedia beyond writing about your organisation, then you will not be unblocked. If this is the case, I recommend you consider alternative outlets. Yunshui  10:54, 31 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

(edit conflict) You didn't say volunteer before you were blocked. But, you are not allowed to advertise here or edit in violation of our conflict of interest policies either, regardless. Coffee // have a ☕️ // beans // 07:58, 31 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, no. Your only purpose here seems to be promoting the subject. Even if you claim "volunteer" status, a volunteer with the organization is still editing at the behest of the organization. The best you could hope for is to declare your connection openly and then to make suggestions about the article. As to the content, it needs to be reliably sourced and it would be best if the content were from a reliable source unconnected with the subject. Oh, properly represented? No. no. no. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a venue to place company updates. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 08:15, 31 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

From this point on I swear to point out my COI, abide by the Terms of Use of the Wikipedia Foundation and make a positive impact on Wikipedia outside of this singular organisation. I won't directly edit any page in the future without making it clear beforehand and being sure to have no COIs. Until I get the hang of Wikipedia, and approval of admins, I will only suggest edits using the most unbiased sources I can find and with proper explaination of why the edit would be necessary and what my relation, if any, is to the organisation or subject of the page. There were other pages I have seen incorrect data on or with subpar sources that I wanted to correct, and I am perfectly happy with suggesting edits for admins and more senior/experienced users to decide upon. I apologise for my behaviour, and will respect your decision either way. If you still don't believe I should be able to edit/make suggestions on Wikipedia, I will stop my attempts to appeal. I would even be happy to use the second chance format to ensure that it is know I have messed up and am on the last straw. Once again, I apologise and ask for a second chance to prove that I am not here just to improve one organisation. Thank you for taking the time to read this and your consideration. Will you immediately follow the instructions at WP:DISCLOSE if unblocked? Coffee // have a ☕️ // beans // 14:38, 31 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. I will make any COI known on my personal page, any talk related to a page I have a COI with, and on any suggested edits to a page that I have a COI with. I still have a lot to learn about proper editing and will be reading up on what else I should do to make it known that I have any COI. Thank you. Nefft24 (talk) 23:09, 31 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I have unblocked your account on the basis of you following your word, and also not editing anything but the talk pages of any articles you have a COI with. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation. Coffee // have a ☕️ // beans // 16:27, 1 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. Can I suggest edits to pages? Nefft24 (talk) 18:12, 1 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
