Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Neilazstateparks, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited appears to be an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page. If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to it, please propose the changes on its talk page.

Further explanation (since you asked at Prax's talk). You have a conflict of interest with regards to the azstateparks website. You should not be adding links to it to any article, or indeed editing any content about Arizona State Parks directly. If you think that a link to it would be useful, you can make an edit request at the relevant article's talk page, and another editor will evaluate the suggestion. A link to your website on an article about one of your parks would seem reasonable; at the Camping article, however, which is supposed to cover the entire topic of camping on an global level, it does not seem appropriate to add a link to a kit checklist for camping in Arizona, which would be of limited relevance to someone going on a camping trip in northwest Scotland or lower reaches of the Himalaya. Unconflicted editors will be better placed than you to judge what is, and is not, appropriate.
Another issue is that you have not formally disclosed the nature of your relationship with Arizona State Parks. I assume from your username that you have such a relationship - please read the advice at WP:PAID and at WP:COI - there are certain disclosure that you are required to make, in order to comply with the terms of use of this website.
