A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Neurospec.ag/sandbox/NEUROSPEC AG, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. — fortunavelut luna 10:03, 12 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:06, 12 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Why have I been blocked?

[edit]

Dear Wikipedia Admins!

Thanks for your comments on the article page I created and I am sorry if I violated any of Wikipedia's guidelines.

I am currently trying to create a Wikipedia Page for the company I work for, NEUROSPEC AG. It wasn't my intent to create a Wikipage to self-promote the company I work for. Can you please point out which exact sections of the article violate against Wikipedia's rules so I can alter and recommit the article about NEUROSPEC AG?

Further, I tried to upload the company logo as a SVG file. When I click on the image on Wikimedia, the SVG opens properly, however, in the article the logo was black/white and cropped in the middle. How can I delete and reupload the logo?

Many thanks for your help, Max

Hi, I'm only giving a brief response here, you may wish to read Help:I have been blocked, Wikipedia's username policy and this page about conflicts of interest on Wikipedia.  Seagull123  Φ  12:47, 12 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I've read through this article and also the other articles from velut luna. Can someone please unblock the article for NEUROSPEC AG, so I can read through and rewrite article so it has no promotional text anymore? Also, helpful would be if someone could point out which exact sections of the text sound like promoting the company. Thanks, Neurospec.ag (talk) 13:03, 12 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You are going to have to request an unblock stating what edits you would like to make to Wikipedia, and a name change, before any editing on your part can take place. Additionally, you will need to state your conflict of interest on the talk page of the article you are working on. Finally, if you plan on creating this article, you will have to show how the company meets our notability guidelines. RickinBaltimore (talk) 13:23, 12 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks RickinBaltimore!
