Right now we are on a "talk page", and on talk pages you should sign your name. Every page on Wikipedia that is not a talk page has a talk page to accompany it. After you make an edit on an article there is no need for you to start a thread on the talk page unless you want feedback on what you did. Every thing you do to every article will permanently be saved, timestamped, and associated with your account automatically, so this is why you do not need to sign articles.
