NC Eugenics Board Talk

[edit]

Hi, I saw your message on my talk page. You can look in my sandbox to see the sorts of edits I will be doing (these will be moved to the main page over the course of the next several months as citations/language is cleaned up). If there is a specific bio-centric section you would like to add or focus on that might be a good combination as I will be analyzing the general Public Policy history rather than the scientific underpinnings - feel free to talk back as and when. Neil/hamm Hammancheez (talk) 19:21, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Nykea! Looks like you are getting the hang of it and have an experienced wikipedian to assist you! I think that page has enough clean up work for everyone! Dr. T Waterbug42 (talk) 21:03, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your research and effort to improve the Eugenics Board of North Carolina article. Just wanted to note that your recent edits were all marked minor when they added info and links. These are not considered minor edits. Minor edits would be correcting minor spelling, punctuation, formatting, etc. or correcting vandalism. This may be set as a default for you, so you might want to check that the box below the edit summary that states "This is a minor edit" is unchecked (unless, of course, your edit really is minor). Secondly, inline external links such as you put in the article are not appropriate per WP:ELPOINTS. See the whole WP:EL page for information about external links. If the links you provide are references to information put in the article, they belong at the end of a phrase, sentence, or paragraph. See WP:CITE for more info on how to cite references. You did cite some info correctly, but the other inline external linking is unnecessary. You can link to another Wikipedia article for a person or organization if they have one. Thank you. -- JoannaSerah (talk) 23:04, 9 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Joanna I thank you for taking out the time to look at my revisions. It is noted that I will be sure that the box marked minor edits is checks appropriately in the future. I will review the appropriate way to reference. I was uncertain as to once I created a link if I also had to have it sited below. I'm trying to get the hang of this. Slowly but surely wins the race! Thanks againNkhudgens (talk) 00:20, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Noted your message on my sandbox page - please use my 'talk' page in future so I'll see it more quickly. I will be doing more edits to my draft document in the next couple of weeks. I plan on doing one 'big' edit to the main Wikipedia page rather than many incremental edits. I will try not to overwrite anything you've done by accident, but if so I hope you will go back in and correct where needed. The changes in my sandbox are now live. You are of course free to edit/add. Hammancheez (talk) 23:02, 20 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 23:10, 20 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nakeya Hudgens Capstone Project Columbus State University

[edit]

My name is Nakeya Hudgens. I have been a Registered Nurse for over ten years. I will graduate with my BSN from Columbus State University in the Fall of 2014. The goal of this wiki page is to follow my progress throughout the nursing program. This wiki contains evidence in the form of assignments, discussions, and other supporting information detailing how I met each program outcome of the RN-BSN program at Columbus State University. As a future graduate of Columbus State University School of Nursing [1], I have the leadership skills to efficiently deliver safe patient-centered care based on evidence based practice. Through teamwork and collaboration of all members involved in healthcare and the community, I am empowered to incorporate the quality improvement process while integrating informatics into my patient care in a variety of settings. Wikipedia is not a personal webhost or blog. The purpose of this and other pages is to facilitate the building and improvement of the encyclopedia. -- John Reaves 03:34, 7 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I have placed the text in your sandbox. I fail to see how this page or your class contributes to the creation of a free encyclopedia (note the top left corner). What exactly is the purpose of your assignment? -- John Reaves 03:43, 7 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 04:03, 7 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
