Username concerns[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, Nutput7777777, may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it it contains so many repeating characters that it triggers the edit filter. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may file for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account and use that for editing. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 23:58, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • The problem is that there are seven 7's in the username! There is an edit filter in place to look for edits with repeating characters. Every time you sign your name in a talk page comment, you trigger that filter. Might I suggest changing your name to User:Nutput77 to avoid triggering the filter? —C.Fred (talk) 00:22, 30 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Nutput7777777. Concerns have been raised that your username may be incompatible with policy. You can contribute to the discussion about it here. Alternatively, if you agree that your username may be problematic and are willing to change it, it is possible for you to keep your present contributions history under a new name. Simply request a new name here following the guidelines on that page, rather than creating a whole new account. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 00:34, 30 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for being patient with us, but it's not fixed yet, you just changed your signature (not your username). To change your username, please follow the instructions on this page. -kotra (talk) 01:13, 30 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I know that but my signature was creating the problem. Wasn't it? I hope im not mistaken. SO i changed my signature . YEAH YEAH NUTTY (talk) 01:16, 30 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think it is your actual username causing the problem (see this history page where your new signature still triggered the filter). That said, I don't know if requiring you to change your username (which is fine otherwise) is necessary. I'll discuss this at WP:RFCN#Nutput7777777. -kotra (talk) 17:13, 30 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Flag of the United States[edit]

There are more reliable sources for the color symbolism on the article talk page, Talk:Flag of the United States... AnonMoos (talk) 00:14, 30 June 2010 (UTC) ok[reply]

Welcome templates[edit]

Please make sure you're using the correct templates when you greet new users. I've seen at least two registered users, with no evidence of vandalism in their edit histories, greeted with the {{Welcome-anon-vandal}} message. —C.Fred (talk) 03:43, 30 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you have placed on this users talk page a final vandalism warning. While his username is suspect, I can see no vandalism, and you should be aware that unjustly accusing an editor of vandalism is itself a potentially blockable offencs. I note that you have edited almost entirely by placing welcome templates; I suspect that if a new edtor (which you yourself are) were to approach you for detailed advice, you may find it hard to oblige. May I suggest that until you know what you are doing, which I am afraid at the moment it would appear you do not, you concentrate on editing in article-space? This is how you gain experience. --Anthony.bradbury"talk" 16:34, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

...and of course, nominating her userpage for deletion as promotional when it was simply a minor bio of herself with a link to her personal school portfolio was rather suspect as well. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 22:24, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. jpgordon::==( o ) 18:00, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
