Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Timo Pielmeier. The community has decided that all new biographies of living persons must contain a reliable source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article as per our verifiability policy. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:10, 2 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Timo Pielmeier has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:ATH, as has not played in a major professional league (His play in Germany was for the junior team of Cologne), has not played 100 games in a minor pro league, not a first round draft pick, nor played internationally for the German senior team.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion of "Dwayne Klessel"

[edit]

A page you created, Dwayne Klessel, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how they are important or significant, and thus why they should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for biographies in particular.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. Alanl (talk) 13:05, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Speedy at Dwayne Klessel

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia, thank you for taking the time to create a page here. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you created yourself. Because Wikipedia policy does not allow the creator of the page to remove deletion tags, an automated program has replaced the deletion tag you removed from Dwayne Klessel. Please do not continue to remove the deletion tag, instead, if you disagree with the deletion, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the page by clicking this link. Once there, select the button that says Click here to contest this speedy deletion.
  2. This will take you to the talk page, where you can make your case by explaining why the page does not meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do. For further help about the deletion, you could contact the user who first placed the tag or a highly active user who is willingly to help with deletion. This message was left by a bot, so please do not contact the bot about the deletion. Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 13:14, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Dwayne Klessel. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, then you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion and appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 13:15, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tip

[edit]

You can't post stuff like that without very good reliable independent sources. What you said might well be quite true - I don't know. But it must be backed up. See WP:BLP. Negative stuff really needs better sourcing than positive stuff - more likelihood of an outbreak of lawyers. Apart from which, he didn't look very notable by our standards anyway, which is what it was tagged for. I deleted as 'attack', which is unsourced negative stuff.
