Orlando Barnett is a very important figure in the black community in and around Detroit for his activism and involvement with lecturing and mentoring the youth. His story has of survival and overcoming a hardened childhood to become a successful IT professional, community leader and speaker has been ran in several black regional publications. His story of triumph and ability to harness of his writing talents for use a speaker to motivate and uplift people should be told.

All well and good, but this is an encyclopedia, and as such all information herein needs to be backed up by references to reliable sources. Further, we do have notability guidelines wherein we draw the line with regard to what subjects merit an article in the first place, and providing these sources goes a long way towards satisfying these requirements. --Finngall talk 21:37, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
