The Great Gatsby Musical

[edit]

Hi, Oh johnny oh. I see that you weren't given the standard welcome message so I've posted the belated one above. Please read the material in the links carefully as it contains our policies and guidelines. For instance, under the "The five pillars of Wikipedia" link, it explains that "Wikipedia is written from a neutral point of view" and why this is important. I mention this because I am wondering if you may have a connection to the The Great Gatsby Musical or somebody associated with it. In particular, this edit added some unsourced detail which makes me wonder how you knew it and if there's a conflict of interest. One could view that edit as trying to make the article more "marketing friendly" and therefore violating or policy of neutrality (e.g., changing "fairly modest critical acclaim" to "critical acclaim with sell out performances"). Are you affiliated with the musical in some way? Either way, do you have reliable sources to back up your additions? If not, the material could be contested and removed. It's not against our rules to have a conflict of interest (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest) but it does make editing trickier. I'm here to help you add your point of view while minimizing potential problems. Jason Quinn (talk) 16:19, 1 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Doniago. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, The Great Gatsby, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.
