Welcome![edit]

Hello, Omnibus98, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions have removed content without an explanation. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a new contributors' help page, or you can place {{helpme}} on your talk page along with a question and someone will be along to answer it shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia:

I hope you enjoy editing Wikipedia! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! —C.Fred (talk) 18:08, 8 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

May 2018[edit]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at Greg J. Marchand, you may be blocked from editing. Blanking a page with an AfD notice. Kirbanzo (talk) 18:01, 8 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • If you have specific concerns about the article, please state them at Talk:Greg J. Marchand. However, it's a bad idea to blank the article wholesale without some clear reasoning why. The banned-creator concerns have already been overcome, and if you're asserting misrepresentation of sources, please be more specific so other editors can corroborate. —C.Fred (talk) 18:07, 8 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
C.Fred I'm asserting it's promotional. I'm not going to start an edit war, but the JYTdog version was non-promotional and usable. The current version is crap. It should be re-written to no longer be promotional. Omnibus98 (talk) 18:19, 8 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Greg J. Marchand. Kirbanzo (talk) 18:11, 8 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Greg J. Marchand shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
Please note that, since you asserted in your first edit today that you were reverting, you are at the three-revert limit.C.Fred (talk) 18:16, 8 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion: Please do not delete before the discussion is over[edit]

Feel free to improve the article, but the article must not be blanked until the discussion is closed. For more information, particularly on merging or moving the article during the discussion, read the guide to deletion. Thanks ~ ToBeFree (talk) 18:18, 8 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

May 2018[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Kirbanzo (talk) 18:20, 8 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion[edit]

Information icon Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. The thread is Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:Omnibus98 reported by User:Kirbanzo (Result: ). Thank you. Kirbanzo (talk) 18:21, 8 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

User:Kirbanzo Yes, thank you for reporting me. If you check the time-date stamp on my post you will see that I was publishing my post, not reverting yours the first time. So you have exactly one revert from me, which you can clearly see was a good faith revert in accordance with wikipedia guidelines. You were re-posting a promotional version when we are supposed to be working to improve the article. Omnibus98 (talk) 18:25, 8 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Omnibus98, stop poking at Kirbanzo and do something constructive please. --NeilN talk to me 20:18, 8 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You have been indefinitely blocked from editing Wikipedia as a result of your disruptive edits. Vandalism (including page blanking or addition of random text), spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, personal attacks; and repeated, blatant violations of our neutral point of view policy will not be tolerated.
