A tag has been placed on The Perfects requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ttonyb (talk) 05:42, 18 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on The Perfects, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to the page The Perfects has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you.   — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 05:40, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with this edit to The Perfects. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you.   — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 05:44, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with this edit to The Perfects. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing.   — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 05:45, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. You will be blocked from editing the next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page you have created yourself, as you did with this edit to The Perfects.   — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 05:46, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

We took note of your assertion of ownership of the material to the above article. However, since we do not verify user identities upon account creation, we have to rely on an external verification process to ensure these rights are yours to give away. In order to do so, please follow the instructions detailed at WP:DCM.

In the meantime, in accordance with the precautionary principle governing our copyright policies, the article may not remain on display on Wikipedia, and has been replaced by a standard boilerplate message. Please do not remove it yourself, an administrator will do so once your permission has been received.

Last but not least, I must caution you against writing about yourself or your band, as this causes a conflict of interest and inevitably generates additional issues: your article for instance may be subject to summary deletion even after the copyright issue is cleared because it is overly promotional. While waiting for the permission to be verified, you'd do well to read WP:FIRST, which details what qualities we are looking for in an article.

Finally, please stop removing cleanup and speedy deletion templates, as this is seen as vandalism, and will lead to removal of your editing privileges.

If you need any help, you can create a new section on your talk page and add {{helpme}} followed by your request below it, someone will be along shortly to assist you. Alternatively, you may also leave me a message on my talk page. Best regards, MLauba (talk) 06:34, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

And one last thing you posted on the talk page to the article: it is not your page. See WP:NOTMYSPACE. You need to understand that your band can only have a neutral article if it meets certain objective inclusion criteria, see WP:BAND for more details. A tag has been placed on The Perfects requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for (will post more below). Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. tedder (talk) 22:22, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I've blocked you for a short term for continuously removing edit tags- specifically, the speedy deletion tag. WP:SPEEDY explicity says "The creator of a page may not remove a Speedy Delete tag from it." I expect you know about this, as you've been warned above.
While blocked, please read Wikipedia's policy on conflict of interest, as well as guidelines on the notability of bands. You are encouraged to create the article about The Perfects, but it must meet the notability guidelines before you place it on Wikipedia. tedder (talk) 22:26, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
