Account creator granted[edit]

After reviewing your request for the "accountcreator" permission, I have enabled the flag on your account. Keep in mind these things:

  • The account creator right removes the limit on the maximum number of new accounts that can be created in a 24-hour period.
  • The account creator right is not a status symbol. If it remains unused, it is likely to be removed. Abuse of the account creator right will result in its removal by an administrator.

If you no longer require the right, let me know, or ask any other administrator. Drop a note on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of the account creator right. Happy editing! — JJMC89(T·C) 02:22, 24 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

NEW EDITOR QUESTIONS[edit]

Hello, I need to address a situation that has been flagged as vandalism on a page. Fans constantly change content. However, the content with sources are inaccurate as well. It’s about a wedding that never occurred for one of three individuals. The sources relayed and relied on false and grossly inaccurate content for tabloids. The sources state a wedding occurred and the position legally is one of fallacy. It must be true since we have no other information... is how they see it.

The real couple has kept a private life out of media attention for a variety of reasons, including relationships with INTEL. How can we go about removing any wedding news which has no merit other than a comma missing leading to conclusions amongst community?

You will find, all sourced material relies only on another article. No media outlet has proof or could ever validate the claims other than heresay. Looking to invalidate referenced sources.

Any information would greatly help us.

Very Respectfully,

2020Editor. 2020Editor (talk) 06:13, 25 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@2020Editor: Greetings! Which article are you referring to? And may I ask what your relationship with the subjects in question is? Operator873talkconnect 17:54, 25 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

On May 15, 2019, Sheikh Hamdan married his cousin Sheikha Shaikha bint Saeed bin Thani Al Maktoum.[15][16][17][18][19].

These are being used as sources which are relying off of each other’s misinformation. One states the Dubai Government Media “verified the date” and “Dubai Government Media confirmed the news” this is extremely vague information upon which several news sources relied on to spread the story. You’ll note, the ONLY verified marriage that occurred was that of Maktoum and Midya which was announced the later part of the previous year. The other persons named as being married are grossly incorrect and it’s warranted to not allow the sources nor the information. You’ll note several attempts to completely remove the information by some of the parties involved, yet fans obsessed, insist on continuous editing.

We would like to stop the disinformation and the media is attempting to gain knowledge of the information of the real facts and names by doing this.

Typical strategy for media attempting to access name of the significant other which has been strategically kept confidential for over 4 years.

Even if the source content is removed we expect immediate vandalism repeatedly. How can we protect ourselves, as public servants when misinterpreted information spreads rapidly?

I am directly involved with the information and directly affected. 2020Editor (talk) 08:39, 26 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You’ll also note in any and ALL articles there are no references in the same sentence using the full title and full name of Hamdan with the declaration of marriage to the full name of person listed. The same for Ahmed. The sources jump topics in presenting the information because they have no information that can be verified aside from a wedding. We would like to challenge any article referenced as a source on this topic for a spouse and or a wedding. It is our request to have any and all referenced material with regards to any sort of spouse be invalidated and removed unable to vandalize. This would also be an inquiry for protecting any identity or disclosure of future named spouse until a formal document is released to the press by the ACTUAL persons involved.

Thank you for your understanding to this very unfortunate situation created by the media.

2020Editor (talk) 10:00, 26 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@2020Editor: Since you are directly involved in the issue, you shouldn't edit the article yourself. Instead you can request other editors review the information on the article's talk page. That being said, it does look like the information written on the article is supported with references and reliable sources, so it would be challenging to remove. If you have a deeper concern, or proof something is not accurate, I'd encourage you to use the contact options and discuss the information you have. I cannot assist you in this matter. Operator873talkconnect 20:07, 26 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Of course I would not edit the information. Perhaps it may be easier to get them all in one swoop and sue them all in a court of law. Maybe that’s the best route, seems a bit tedious and I’m sure admitting publishing of inaccuracies is not something they’ll jump to acknowledge fault by deleting or correcting.

Thank you for your time and information. This will soon be corrected.

@2020Editor: Please be aware, on any Wikipedia project making legal threats is strictly prohibited. Operator873talkconnect 14:21, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

They are not threats, it is a legal strategy for handling the situation. If anyone goes to the originsl source of claim they will see this: “UAE to celebrate today the official wedding ceremony of Dubai Crown Prince, and his two brothers, Sheikh Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Sheikh Ahmed, chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation”

Source: Government of Dubai Media

Keeping in mind: No brides were listed ever. Also keeping in mind a CELEBRATION OF THE ELDERS occurred which was a celebration for historical marriage of the Al Maktoum families. As stated, there have NEVER been ANY female brides listed from ANY official source. The addition of female names were mere speculation and grossly incorrect. Laws provide protections from such poor reporting and damage to reputation, images, anguish caused to all involved parties. Suggesting legal recourse is not threatening,it’s a legal remedy for intentional wrongdoing for those who have intentionally misguided the public at the peril of others. Why would mention of legal action or recourse be strictly prohibited on Wikipedia?

2020Editor (talk) 20:57, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wives, ex-wives, family members, palace employees, members of HH's court and and anyone else--- please do not try to edit based on personal knowledge, personal relationships, inside knowledge, public records, or not so public records, etc. This is an encyclopedia, all content must be cited from reliable sources that are unconnected with the subject and have a reputation for fact checking." Thanks, --Deepfriedokra (talk) 16:51, 27 July 2020 (UTC)

2020Editor (talk) 22:37, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Posted from talk page. There are a few editors that are editing for personal reasons. Again, I ask all sources be examined for authentic and official content without the articles hearsay or additions. To be a valid source there is nothing more to report than the only original source not listing any female names in reference to any brides. Simply a wedding of the elders. 2020Editor (talk) 22:41, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
