Welcome!

Hello, Oulipo22, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, like Philipp Keel, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted.

Proposed deletion of Philipp Keel

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Philipp Keel, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

no indication of how this person is notable, lacks references to 3rd party sources

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. RadioFan (talk) 22:39, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I hate to bother you, but do you have any references to prove this person is notable? This article still has many serious issues. Bearian (talk) 00:37, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bearian - Several edits have been made to this article. I was wondering if you could take another pass at it and let us know what still needs to be changed? Thanks.

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Simple Diary Royal Blue.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 23:37, 15 August 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 23:37, 15 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:All About Me.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:All About Me.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 23:39, 15 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Two Young Birds Not Knowing Any Better.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Fair use rationale for File:All About Me.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:All About Me.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you for uploading File:All About Me.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

Helpme

[edit]

{{helpme}} I have made many changes to the article Philipp_Keel, and I'm trying to see if the article is now more inline with Wikipedia policies. Can someone help? Thank you!

You need sources for the introduction and Early Years sections. Also, you may want to try an improve the tone throughout to make it sound less like a story (e.g., "The younger of two sons, Keel, though lively and curious at home, was shy and inattentive at school." How do you prove that?). I'm leaving the helpme tag to attract other helpers though,  fetchcomms 23:06, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it is inline... my only advice is to add the {{citation}}: Empty citation (help) tool under "my preferences" then "gadgets" then under editing tool select the cite one and save... it helps with references a lot :)  IShadowed  ✰  23:39, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oulipo22 (talk) 00:05, 3 December 2009 (UTC) Based on the above suggestions, I have removed the tags that were on the article. If they should not have been removed, I apologize for that. Also, we are re-writing the "Early Years" section as recommended. Thanks for all your help, everyone![reply]

{{helpme}} Oulipo22 (talk) 17:15, 3 December 2009 (UTC)Hello. I have done multiple edits, and I want to make sure that this page is acceptable and meets Wikipedia standards. I also want to make sure that the pictures in the article are acceptable as well... we had some flags on those as well, and I want to be sure that all is resolved. Thank you for your assistance.[reply]

You need more references, Oulipo22. Also, many of the references you do have have brackets around them - I'd remove them. You also need a consistent formatting of your refs - some are inline, and some are just listed in the References section. Hope this helps! Replaceable fair use File:Philipp Keel B&W.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Philipp Keel B&W.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. FASTILY (TALK) 23:17, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you feel that this image does meet those criteria, please place a note on the image description or talk page explaining why. Do not remove the {{di-fails NFCC}} tag itself.

An administrator will review this file within a few days, and having considered the opinions placed on the image page, may delete it in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion or remove the tag entirely. Orphaned non-free image File:Simple Diary Royal Blue.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Simple Diary Royal Blue.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 07:40, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Philipp Keel BW Press Kit.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free image with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria.

If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the image can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the image is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the image. If the image has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.  fetchcomms 02:25, 27 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Two Young Birds Not Knowing Any Better.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Two Young Birds Not Knowing Any Better.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Florians Mustang small.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Florians Mustang small.png.

Thank you. FASTILYsock(TALK) 23:58, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
