  • Mostly i don't use this OzzysLoveChild login for stuff like that'd earn me anything like kudos. Few typos here or there, but mostly I'll try to stay off the article pages. Might make a point of doing something that's defendable as a serious contribution to Wikipedia occasionally (here goes e.g. & and), but the fact that i refute entirely the notion that discourse must be saccharin in order to be positive means that I won't make a point of doing too much of that shit under this id. Regardless my diction, my intent usually isn't deemed to be ill, and I almost uniformly acquisce when that isn't the take.

My first smackdown. Happened back in the year Ought Four. I shall endeavor towards minimizing these, and have, mostly successfully. Guess I'll keep this one here, if only to color your first impression. But make no mistake; Just because you can call to mind a time when I could be portrayed as disrespectful doesn't mean you can expect me to be disrespectful. I am all about respect. And safety. They're important.) Anyhoo:

Please avoid spamming links to $100 laptop to unrelated talk pages. If you want lots of people to see it, it would be better to post it, once, to the Village pump. --cesarb 16:34, 29 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Your talk page layout is very confusing. --cesarb 16:38, 29 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
1-Thanks for the feedback, cesarb:). Could you please clarify what you thing qualifies as "internal spamming" on my part? i took a quick peek at the link you left on my talk page, but can't figure out how you think it applies to anything i've done on wikipedia. it advises avoiding "cross-posting of messages to a large number of user talk pages." i've left precisely 1 user talk page post in the last 6 months (excepting my own talk page), and i've not mentioned the subject of that one on my own talk page, so i'm really quite at a loss. could you please clarify? or admit that you might have been in the midst of a moment that needed to be played out, projected as it were,, on my talk page?
I'm not saying it qualifies as internal spamming, I'm just saying to be careful to avoid doing it, and also pointed to a better place where it has more chance of being seen. (You posted it to two talk pages: one user talk page and one normal talk page.) --cesarb 21:57, 31 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Cool. Right on. I understand that response. Continue, please.
Cool. I understand that. Could you plese boil down to under 10 words why you found yourself inclined to post on my talk page? Please? Please, some detail on that moment? What did your words in that moment echo?
2-Thanks for the feedback, cesarb:). I'll take it under advisment, though since my aim vis-a-vis talk does not include as part of it's primary mission the avoidance of confusion on the part of people who read the talk pages of ghosts in the machine, i must confess a certain skepticism as to the likelihood that i will endeavor to try to figure out what would make it less confusing to some random passers-by. (btw, i love the usage of the alternative link text so as to have your name in your signature appear in all lower case, cesarb. i do that shit too, sometimes. very humble. speaks well of you. right on. also love the multiple re-jiggers on your post to my talk page. very polite. you smell right to me.)
The layout is confusing mostly by being very different from the usual way talk pages are laid out. Most talk pages use level-2 headings (the ones delimited by ==) for new sections (which is what the "Start a new discussion" tab does), and add new comments to the end of the page; yours use level-4 and level-5 headings, with new comments in the middle, and headings which do not make it obvious at a first glance what they are about. --cesarb 21:57, 31 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Sub-pages

[edit]

Not quite sure where I'm taking this, but for maybe accumulating left discussion page rants & rambles. The contents will tend usually to touch a little bit on the actual article's subject, but not so much really. I'll prolly take care to not only keep it on discussion pages, but also almost immediately make it lamer.

I figure if I'm going to be around here Talking Hard for the next fifty years or so, it'd probably be wise to get on the record a bit to lend depth and context so you don't hunt me down on your high horse and kill me if you catch me mid-stream. (Plus, I do, after all, plan to get into Politics at at least one point or another.)

Please feel encouraged to disregard me, to revert anything I've ever scribbled on this wiki, in short to not pay any attention whatsoever to me. If you're feeling Fucking Hostile towards me right now, then I would, quite sincerely, encourage you to simply revert or delete whatever it is you're feeling I did that's bad. I don't want to wind up like Dimebagg Darrell, taking a few bullets just cuz some crazy fuck got a fly up ass about some random thing I jotted somewhere. By All Means: Delete Me.

Mostly, I think I'll drop a rant on a discussion page, then almost immediately trim almost all of the soul from it in order to make it more presentable, then create a sub-page here and drop the original, with link to to the original version and perhaps quick notation on motivation for the scribble.

Pretty odd, but can't see the harm, except perhaps the sensibilities of some random fuck that's perusing the talk pages, which,, if you're doing that then you can't really expect 100% prime time ready discourse, right, so why not? Anyhoo,

  • something like, "if your kind is capable of raising someone who will stand gaurd in a quasi-non-friendly environtment whilst that someone's buds break a broom in half and shove one half of it up the ass of someone darker or lighter, then you have precious little ice on which to skate, my friend, but i encourage you to skate toward your heart's content" ? something like that? need to work in something larger than a local municipality angle if i haven't already.  :)b
