Unspecified source for Image:Ballard.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Ballard.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:38, 7 January 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 02:38, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

Image tagging for Image:East Carolina Teachers Training School Logo.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:East Carolina Teachers Training School Logo.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Re: Procedural fail for GA for ECU article

I failed the GA on the ECU article for procedural rather than content issues. A hold may only remain in place for 1 week. The original reviewer had not removed the hold for 10 days. Since the hold expired without being acted upon by the original reviewer, I failed the article for procedural reasons. If you feel that the article has been improved to the point where it now passes WP:WIAGA criteria, please feel free to renominate it at WP:GAC. If you feel the fail was handled inappropriately, please feel free to request a comment at WP:GA/R. Thanks, and if you have any other questions, please feel free to ask me at my talk page. --Jayron32|talk|contribs 04:16, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Cape Hatteras Anglers Club

An editor has nominated Cape Hatteras Anglers Club, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cape Hatteras Anglers Club and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. WP:CFB invite

Hello, I noticed that you have edited a College football related article. You may be interested to know that there is a college football WikiProject which you can join if you like. We would love to have you! MECUtalk 23:58, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

I don't know why you contacted me as I did not review the article, but it seems the reviewer saw that the article had problems with the prose, the Manual of Style, and that there was original research which would have to be removed. I suggest you contact the user who reviewed that article if you want more information to work with.-- 21:29, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

Okay, what you need to do is add the {{Cite web}} template to all of the references so that they appear something like: <ref>{{citeweb|url=http://www.domain.com/|title=Insert description of link here|accessdate=2007-05-04}}</ref>-- 22:25, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

I'll review the ECU article again later today (not including the references). --LaraLoveTalk/Contribs 05:15, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Cape-hatt-header2.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Cape-hatt-header2.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:11, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:ECU Pirates Logo.gif

Image:ECU Pirates Logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:10, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

You might want to make your changes again, as I've made a major change to it. (vishwin60 - review) 18:09, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

Huh?

Vandalism? What are you talking about? It's reasonable to require a source for this. Friday (talk) 20:09, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
