Why Choosy users should choose Packard Bell

[edit]

Packard Bell computers are the best computers ever built in the history of this earth, no questions asked. They are built of only the highest quality parts and have some of the highest standards of quality and reliaibility in the world. If I had my way, every computer owner in the world would be using a Packard Bell computer for all of their computing needs. It's too bad not many people know about how great Packard Bell really is. But, I guess that is their problem, its just too bad.

Happy Birthday Packard Bell!

[edit]

Today, my little Packard Bell Legend 140CDT Supreme turns 12 years old. I love this computer to death. I have never had a problem with my Packard Bell and I never will. Packard Bell has always been known to create some of the best computers around, no questions asked. I love Packard Bell because they always build a quality system with absolutely no flaws. I will continue to use my Packard Bell until I die or it dies, (which ever comes first). Congratulations for serving me 12 great years Packard Bell, may the force be with you!

End of support for Windows 95

[edit]

On December 31, 2001, the Windows 95 operating system was transitioned from extended support to a non-supported status. This marks the progression of the Windows 95 product through its support lifecycle. Microsoft has ended support for Windows 95 because it is an obsolete product and can expose customers to security threats. It is recommended that all remaining Windows 95 users upgrade to a more secure Microsoft operating system such as Windows XP or Windows Vista as soon as possible. I however, will never upgrade off of Windows 95 because I feel that computer security is one of the least important things in the world. I will continue to run the original copy of Windows 95 that came on my wonderful Packard Bell computer until I can no longer get onto the internet!

Busy, just too busy to even think straight

[edit]

Wow, its just been complete pandemonium around here lately. I haven't slept in three days straight and my eyes feel like they are about to drop out of my head. Even though its crazy I still am taking this time to update you on my latest adventures on my good old Packard Bell Legend 140CDT Supreme. She's still running just as good as the day I got her back in September of 1995. I can not stress to you all enough about how great Packard Bell is! I am back!

[edit]

Wow! It has been over a year since I have posted anything here on Wikipedia and for that I am truly sorry! No, I am not dead nor is my lovely Packard Bell Legend 140CDT Supreme. I have been very busy and just have not had much time for play, only work. All work and no play makes owning a computer a bit dull so I have decided to make a dedication to posting here more often to help enhance the Wikipedia community's knowledge of Packard Bell and what good computer systems they really are. I am getting very excited as Thanksgiving is just right around the corner. Normally I post every year on Thanksgiving but last year, I did not get the chance to do so. Things will be different this year, I promise that! Thanksgiving would have to be my very favorite holiday of all time. I just feel so thankful to have such a great family and a great computer. 15 years later, my Packard Bell runs just as good as the day I bought it back in September of 1995! I recently had to upgrade my Internet browser from Microsft Internet Explorer version 5 to Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.5! I was having trouble as certian websites would not view correctly in Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5. Many of my favorite websites came out too distorted to even use correctly so I am very grateful that Microsft supports up to Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.5 on Microsoft Windows 95 as I will never upgrade my operating system! Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.5 works much better and for that I am truly grateful! People must understand that Packard Bell computers are the best around, no questions asked! I plan to continue running my Packard Bell Legend 140CDT Supreme until either I die or my computer dies, wichever comes first. I look forward to spending more time here serving the Wikipedia community and want to let everyone know that I am sorry and will make a commitment to be around more to spread the word about how good Packard Bell is! God bless you all and may the force be with you!

To Whom It May Concern, My Father owns a Packard Bell Legend 401CD (Possibly a T @ the end).

What I am wondering is, Ive been trying to help my Father locate the Main Program Windows 95 and cannot find them on his computer. Evidentually the drive got erased. Is there any possibility of Your Company sending a Diskette (Floppy) or a CD to load the Windows 95 back up??

Sincerely, Candis D ccra2001@aol.com 515-243-1077

my packard bell is older and still runs good!

[edit]

I have an old Packard Bell Legend 2000 Plus Multimedia and here are its specs:

built in 1993 Intel 486SX 25mhz 8MB RAM *upgraded to 24MB 214MB Hard Drive 3.5" High Density Floppy Drive 1.44MB CDROM Drive (the Aztec Sound card that controlled it went bad so I am replacing with 5.25" 1.2MB HD Floppy Drive)

I added:

Creative Labs Sound Blaster 16 new RAM as noted above I also found an old ISA Ethernet card and I added that in a heartbeat

I still use this machine daily, it works very great and it is currently running MS-DOS 6.22 with Windows 3.11 Windows for Workgroups. This machine still has full networking capabilities and I have it connected to my home network and exchange files between computers running even Windows Vista. This machine has been very useful especially as a workstation or to store files. When I need to get work done and I don't feel like using or I feel I need to use one of my newer machines, I just boot this thing up. It is also a neat little machine to "experiment" with old OS's on. I plan on picking up an old copy of OS/2 2.0 and running that on this machine. From 1993 and still going strong, it is the oldest computer in my posession and I have quite a few machines from old to brand new including ones that I build myself. Packard Bell's older machines are great and if you are lucky to buy one that works and lasts, they last forever. I am going to see if I can get instant messaging working on this.

I LOVE MY PACKARD BELL! it's a legend :D —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.206.68.57 (talk) 02:33, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
