Your reason here Hello, I am the communications manager for the City of Palmdale. I have been tasked with updating information about how our government is organized and elected (we've had many changes via ordinance), our facilities (some no longer exist, some new ones are not included), boards and commissions, etc. It is not my intention to advertise our organization other than to give readers a better understanding of our government. I selected the PalmdaleCommunications user name in an effort to identify it as an official City of Palmdale account. I apologize for breaking any rules and hope that the account can be reinstated. You have proposed your new username as "Your proposed new username StellaKn"; I assume you just want it to be "StellaKn". As noted below, please read WP:BOSS, WP:COI, and WP:PAID. You won't be unblocked to, in the short term, edit about topics for which you have a conflict of interest, if that is your only goal here, this is the end of the road. If you want to be a more general contributor and edit about topics for which you have no conflict of interest, please tell what those might be. Once you have a good edit history showing your understanding of relevant policies, (such as sourcing and how to contribute in the area of a COI) you may later be permitted to indirectly contribute about COI related topics, but not now. You seem to have a significant misunderstanding of the purpose of Wikipedia and how Wikipedia actually works in practice. An article about a city should primarily summarize what reliable published sources completely independent of the city say about the city. Things like newspaper and magazine articles, and books written by historians. The city website is the proper place for the content you are trying to add. You will not be unblocked to add the city's official point of view to the article. You have a clearcut Conflict of interest and should not be editing the article at all. Your comment I have been tasked with updating information indicates that you are a paid editor working at the direction of your boss. Please read WP:BOSS and perhaps have your boss read it too.
