Request reason:

First of all I am very sorry, that I break the line for first time. I am completely unaware of the fact that if I insert the external website link I will get blocked. I am just trying to update the information related to the CDS article with the latest information with an external link. Now I understand the whole idea about the Wikipedia. I assured you that in future I will never ever inserted any external website links. I want to participate more in Wikipedia, so please unblock me. Thank you so much in advance.

Accept reason:

As you have agreed to not add any external links, I will unblock you to give you a second chance. Please understand that the block will be reimposed should the same problems occur again. 331dot (talk) 13:15, 24 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Since you have agreed to not add external links, what is it that you do want to do on Wikipedia? 331dot (talk) 22:16, 22 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia, the online, peer–produced encyclopedia, is one of the most discussed topics on campuses today. I can use the collectively produced encyclopedia for course–related research assignments. I am going to use Wikipedia for my course–related research work, if I find any dead link I will let Wikipedia to know about that thing. Please give me one chance I will never do any mistake in future. Thank you once again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pank1106 (talkcontribs)
You don't need to be unblocked to merely read Wikipedia. Do you intend to edit at all? You don't need to promise that you will never make a mistake(we all make mistakes), only that you understand what you were blocked for. Pinging DMacks for any comment they might have. 331dot (talk) 07:51, 23 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your time. Feeling really pissed.. Sorry once again for the mistake which I have done.

Spam for all sorts of exam-prep, career/school advising/placement is a widespread problem on many Indian national-exam and government agencies. As 331dot says, how exactly do you wish to contribute towards building our encyclopedia content? I stand by my original block for the original edit pattern, but will leave it to others to decide how to move forward from here (feel free to accept if you feel appropriate). Thank you for your reply once again, I will participate on weekly basis to improve it.I love Wikipedia information very much and want to make it more reader friendly with my efforts. Give me a chance by unblocking me, i will prove myself.

First of all thank you for unblocking me. I come to know about certain dead links in Wikipedia. I am confused how to replace them with active and informational link. As if I do the changes I have a huge fear for getting block again. So please let me know how to proceed. I find some dead link under the "REFERENCE" Section.

If you see something like that, you should bring it up on the article's talk page, and another editor can look at the situation. 331dot (talk) 16:03, 29 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, Understand your point. I would like to introduce the wiki page first: " https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/India_Science_Award". Inside this page I found a dead link under reference section, as well as under the External Link section. The following link is dead. "Welcome to Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India ::" as well as the following one under external Link :" Prof. C.N.R. Rao becomes first recipient of India Science Award 2004" (http://www.dst.gov.in/whats_new/press_releases05/india-science-award.htm).

I would like to replace this dead link with the following link which may be very useful and active one to the users " https://www.govtjobsportal.in/2017/04/national-awards-and-honours-in-india.html".

Okay, you can link to an article title by putting the title in double brackets like this: [[India Science Award]], which appears as India Science Award. You should bring this up at Talk:India Science Award. I regret that I do not have the time to personally aid every editor who may need my help, but someone who follows that article should be able to help you. 331dot (talk) 17:05, 29 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
