Small friendly reminder
Hey! I saw you posting that events have made it harder to work on Wikipedia this month. Just wanted to remind you to keep yourself as top priority, but that your work here is super appreciated and making the world better by making information accessible. Sending a warm hug from Netherlands A. C. Santacruz ⁂ Talk 23:17, 13 September 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you for that greatly appreciated boost. I hope that you are well, too. Now that I have started school on a regular schedule, I should be able to bear significant fruit this weekend! Appreciation from Colorado, USA. ~ Pbritti (talk) 01:26, 14 September 2021 (UTC)
Hello, again
Remembering a conversation we had some time back about Homecoming...well, it's upon us, and I'm in Williamsburg as of last night. Let me know if you're going to be able to make it - I'd welcome the opportunity of a hat tip, at least. (The hat being tipped is my battered old W&M cap from the Campus Store, naturally.) --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 15:45, 6 October 2021 (UTC)
- @Ser Amantio di Nicolao: Thank you for messaging me; I intended to reach out to you tomorrow! I too have a tattered hat from the shuttered campus shop to tip (and a decent couple stories to go with it). I'll be in town on Thursday morning and would appreciate the opportunity to buy you a coffee or something of that ilk! Simply message me here if you're free Thursday or Friday morning and we can link up at either Aromas or Illy. ~ Pbritti (talk) 15:50, 6 October 2021 (UTC)
- Excellent. Tomorrow morning would likely be best - my friend is coming into town tomorrow night, and I'm not sure yet what our plans are for Friday. I will be heading across the river tomorrow for a visit to the Miles Carpenter Museum in Waverly (assuming it's open - the site says it is, but I'm never sure) and a little bit of Southside photography. You're welcome to join if you wish. :-) --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 16:01, 6 October 2021 (UTC)
- Alright! Let's say Aromas vaguely around 9:15. I would love to cross the James–it's all together too nice over there–but have to juggle a few other engagements later in the afternoon. Thanks for the invitation. ~ Pbritti (talk) 16:23, 6 October 2021 (UTC)
- 9:15? *groan* The things I do for inter-editor harmony. I'll shoot for 9:15, but knowing how I function in the morning it may be closer to 9:30. Thank the Lord my hotel is reasonably close.

- (Actually, it's fine. Gives me a jump on the rest of the day.)
- And where the hell is Illy, anyway? (I do know, I think...but that's a far more recent addition to these environs than my own time here.) --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 03:36, 7 October 2021 (UTC)
FYI, I'm at Aroma's right now. ----~~ Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 13:27, 7 October 2021 (UTC) @Ser Amantio di Nicolao: Due to the wonderful bastards over at Apple, my phone auto snoozed me. I woke up at exactly 10:30 this morning cursing as soon as I saw the time. I apologize for sticking you up but wish to tell you in the most sincere way it was not intended. I am very upset with this. I hope you have a good rest of your day. If you have time at all later this weekend for me to attempt to make it up to you I would dearly like to try. ~ Pbritti (talk) 14:41, 7 October 2021 (UTC)
- No apologies needed...it happens. Just shoot me an email and we can coordinate something for later in the weekend. -- Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 14:46, 7 October 2021 (UTC)
- Any time of your choosing today or tomorrow. Again, my sincerest apologies. ~ Patrick (Pbritti (talk) 14:53, 7 October 2021 (UTC))

Your GA nomination of Berwind, Colorado
The article Berwind, Colorado you nominated as a good article has failed ; see Talk:Berwind, Colorado for reasons why the nomination failed. If or when these points have been taken care of, you may apply for a new nomination of the article. Solidarna Polska
Isnt this just an opinion piece? I don’t think it’s a good source for calling them far right when it’s a political opinion piece, I think a book or maybe a political evaluator site would be better. Solidarityandfreedom (talk) 21:04, 15 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Solidarityandfreedom: While generally I would agree with you, the piece itself pulls from other political evaluation groups to draw that conclusion and its publication in a paper of record merits reference, as description of groups as "far-right" are inevitably subjective and subject to change. If you want, you could adjust the text to read something like "opponents have criticized the party as far-right." In any case, welcome to Wikipedia; it seems like you've had some trouble making some edits right out the gate but otherwise the addition of this content has been appreciated and I would love to help as you'd like! ~ Pbritti (talk) 21:14, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

Maroun/Maronites
Hello,
The appropriate spelling for the monastic founder of the Maronite Church is Maroun not Maron. The latter spelling is only employed in the United States. Furthermore, the standard spelling for individuals who bear his name as their Christian or family name e.g. the poet Maroun Abboud or the film director Maroun Bagdadi. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LebaneseMaronite (talk • contribs) 06:55, 21 November 2021 (UTC)
- @LebaneseMaronite: You are correct that the name “Maron” is also commonly spelt “Maroun.” The article is in American English, which uses “Maron.” The spelling of surnames of other individuals is not relevant to the standard spelling of this person’s name. As the article is in American English and the popular accepted spelling for the saint’s name in American English is “Maron,” it will remain as such. ~ Pbritti (talk) 07:05, 21 November 2021 (UTC)
I will keep changing the spelling to Maroun. Have a great day! — Preceding unsigned comment added by LebaneseMaronite (talk • contribs) 07:14, 21 November 2021 (UTC)

Engaging in American-Centric Racism
Self-stated edit warring
Your recent editing history at Maronite Church shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
Following your constant change of the spelling “Maroun” to “Maron” in defiance of correct linguist transliteration.
- Hello, LebaneseMaronite. Further toxic behavior may result in a request for arbitration, the result of which could carry potential adverse ramifications. You accuse an attendee of a Maronite parish of racism against Maronites for suggesting that we follow common usage of a term–usage supported by actual references from actual Maronites–on Wikipedia. Again, further disruptive behavior is not tolerated and may result in a request for outside review. ~ Pbritti (talk) 02:16, 22 November 2021 (UTC)
ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message
Appreciate your willingness to at least consider a restart/rewrite of MKuCR article
In regards to this, that is exactly what I propose — I simply think that the way to accomplish this is through deletion, as has been years that we have proposed to do a rewrite/restructuring but received no support or help from the other side. Once the article is rewrittren, and we agree there no longer are significant issues, it would be recreated — most of it is already taken from other articles, so nothing would be lost from the current version through deletion/rewrite. We do not necessarily disagree that the article is notable,1 but we think that the currently structured article is so problematic that it cannot simply be fixed without drastic solutions like deletion/rewrite/restructuing.
- Notes
1. If you are not aware of it, Siebert has also proposed this topic, which I think is really the notable topic we should discuss.
Again, thank you for at least considering a rewrite as a possibility — it is good to see users like you who do not strawman us. Davide King (talk) 01:19, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Davide King:: Tagging Paul Siebert, who wanted to know if I had the means to do so. I have access to JSTOR, WSJ, and NYT through both my university and personal subscriptions. I would really like to help you guys with this because I passionately think there should be an article under this heading but also believe it should have a complete rewrite. If you guys are willing to wait until the end of the month for me to get started on a draft, I would like to help you all with a proper rewrite. ~ Pbritti (talk) 01:53, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
- No worry, I don't need jstor, I have an access to it. I am not sure if we can write another article until this one exists, for that may be seen as a violation of NPOV Paul Siebert (talk) 01:56, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
There is a sandbox available for that very purpose at Talk:Mass_killings_under_communist_regimes/sandbox, so no NPOV violation issues if it is used. Feel free to blow away the current content, it is a really old version of the article, Cheers, --Nug (talk) 10:29, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Nug: Thanks. This will be a place to start. ~ Pbritti (talk) 22:52, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
