When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

I noticed your recent edit to Ted Cruz does not have an edit summary. Also, there is strong consensus against including this level of detail. If you disagree, please weigh in on the article talk page.
Really, please cite and document that "strong concensus!" I am a state delegate in Colorado, and I think I know much better than you do of what questions are being asked of delegates and how to convey that information best.

Not seeing any "Consensus." Please stop editing the page without justification. You do not own the page nor Wikipedia. It is well within the guidelines of Wikipedia and is clearly justified.
- You might want to keep reading. There are now six editors who support removing the detail. The justification is on the talk page. I never claimed to own the page. Wikipedia is collaborative project and edits are made by consensus, not by brute force. Also, please sign your talk page posts by typing four tildes like this: ~~~~ - MrX 03:24, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
How many of those editors are state delegates that are going to a State Convention in two days? And, actually, ML is for keeping the information as I read it.

[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at Talk:Ted Cruz, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

- Yes to the above. Also, if you sign your posts with four tildes ~~~~ when you contribute to Wikipedia talk pages, the time you posted, links to your talk page & editing history are automatically added to your post. Shearonink (talk) 15:34, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
