Notability of Carbonbase[edit]
A tag has been placed on Carbonbase requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

I didn't actually send you a message. That was Exxolon above. I did, however, delete the article because it was nominated for speedy deletion. These criteria are very specific but the one used on Carbonbase is one of the most subjective and loose, A7. In general, Wikipedians look for reliable sources for the info in the article. Notability is difficult to quantify but at the least the article needs verifiable sources for editors to follow up on. Sadly, an article with only the website of the group mentioned will generally be perceived as promotional and many editors won't look any further for info. Nothing in the article you wrote on Carbonbase indicated why it is notable enough for a Wikipedia article (ie, awards, Billboard charting position, significant news coverage, etc.) You are welcome to try again but I seriously recommend looking for some specific news articles to link to in the article or it will probably be deleted quickly again. A list of Google hits or blog posts isn't sufficient. Check out the links above for some guidance. Below is a "welcome" message with other links on how Wikipedia works.
