A tag has been placed on Larry Hornbeck requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Zujua (talk) 10:28, 13 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, just letting you know that I declined the request for deletion. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 14:11, 13 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

advice

[edit]

Please do not leave articles in the totally unfinished state you left Erhard Scheibe, without any link to the extensive article in the other WP--and without even the correct capitalization of the name. I've placed a tag on it which should hold up deletion for a few days until you can finish it. I do not know if you are familiar with other Wikipedias, but at the English WP such minimal articles are very likely to be quickly deleted. DGG ( talk ) 21:24, 23 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

User page

[edit]

By our WP:USER page guidelines, a user page written in the form of a WP article about the user is often considered a "pseudo-article", and often deleted. Either you must actually submit it as an article via WP:AFC (do not move an autobiography into mainspace, but use AfC) -- and I note the corresponding article was considered nonnotable at the frWP and deleted there, so the same might well occur here--or rewrite it in a less article-like manner. If you do submit a draft, make sure it clearly meets the WP:PROF policy, and also if at all possible the WP:GNG, as it is interpreted here. If you let me know, I will review it. COI

[edit]

According to the WP;COI practices at this Wikipedia, one should not insert information about oneself into articles, but should instead suggest it on the article talk page. I notice that you have been inserting information about your work in to a number of articles; I am checking each instance to see if I think it is sufficiently justified in the context of the article as a while. If you disagree with any of my removals, comment on the talk page there. DGG ( talk ) 05:12, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Shozo awazu requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Keanu Reeves, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Side by Side. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
