Thanks! I'll replay to it now. I'm the one who wrote the text that appear in EverybodyWiki. In fact, I wrote it here, they copied it, and then by mistake I deleted it here so the text they had there was a good 'backup'... Physboy21 (talk) 13:19, 5 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ldm1954, thank you for reviewing my submission! I wanted to ask about why he does not meet two of the eight academic criteria.
  1. He's the elected chair of the Electron-Ion Collider Users Group. That's a big thing - its the next large particle collider the U.S. are building at few Billion $ investment. They include over 1400 scientists from around the world that elected Hen to lead us. I think that qualifies for criteria 6: highest-level elected post at a major academic society.
  2. APS fellow is an honor awarded to less than 0.5% of the Society’s members (excluding students). I think the latter qualifies for criteria 3: elected fellow of a major scholarly society which reserves fellow status as a highly selective honor.
  3. While I copied all of his awards from the CV I found online (agree I can delete the less important once), the Stuart J. Freedman Award and IUPAP Young Scientist Prize are both very big deal. Probably similar can be said about Sloan, the Guido Altarelli Award and being names a Amar G. Bose Fellow, that seems like a big deal in MIT, getting all of these is not a small feet!
Certainly Hen is 'young' to have received these recognitions, but that's exactly why I took the time to write this page for him. His CV shows over 150 invited talks and seminars, including plenaries in all major nuclear physics conferences, so he's very visible in physics. He's a *young( star in nuclear physics and I think that's exactly why he deserve this page.
I am happy to get your thoughts on how I can / should edit the page to make it a better fit?
Thank you! Physboy21 (talk) 21:14, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I realize that it is disappointing to get an article declined, just as it is disappointing to have a paper declined. You need to remember that professionals are reviewing these articles. Sorry, while an APS Fellow or Chair of a user group are important steps, they are not major. (Neither, for instance, is a Sloan.) These are standard expectations in academia. Notability is a significant step up from this. I don't think there is anyway you can edit the page, it is too early. Ldm1954 (talk) 22:30, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
