AfD nomination of Brainerd Baptist Church

[edit]

I have nominated Brainerd Baptist Church, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brainerd Baptist Church. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. When you add information about your church, it would be helpful if you try to make the text read like an encyclopedia, not like an advert for the church. My personal opinion is that all churches are notable, so I hope your article stays, but try to find some external references to prove notability. (btw, I'm not a Baptist) Dbfirs 23:24, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Pizzalc11,

Thank you for your article, however there are several problems with your article that I am trying to correct and I would be thankful if you would stop reading the content I am removing. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and as such it only hosts "encyclopedic" information. Information such as directions to the church or worship times is not considered encyclopedic (see What Wikipedia is not), however information about its history or activities is greatly appreciated. Articles should also be written in a third person passive voice and should remain neutral so the peacock terms need to go.

Also, as you have noticed the page is currently up for deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brainerd Baptist Church and I must ask you to please stop removing the AfD template until the discussion has been concluded (usually after five days). If you wish to avoid the deletion of your article you need to show that the church meets Wikipedia's notability guideline, the best way to do this is to show that reliable sources have published information about the topic. License tagging for File:Sheridan.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Sheridan.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 04:07, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

April 2011

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not replace pages with blank content, as you did with this edit to Stephen A. Douglas, as this is confusing to readers. The page's content has been restored for now. If there is a problem with the page, it should be edited or reverted to a previous version if possible; if you think the page should be removed entirely, see further information. Thank you. Kubigula (talk) 14:10, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The recent edit you made to Stephen A. Douglas has been reverted, as it removed all content from the page without explanation. Please do not do this, as it is considered vandalism; use the sandbox for testing. If you think the page should be deleted, see here for what to do. Thank you. Kubigula (talk) 14:10, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did at Stephen A. Douglas with this edit, you may be blocked from editing. DARTH SIDIOUS 2 (Contact) 14:11, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
