[edit]Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. [1][2][3] MrOllie (talk) 12:07, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for your guidance regarding Wikipedia's policies on external links and the emphasis on preventing promotional content. I understand the importance of maintaining the integrity of Wikipedia as a reliable and unbiased information source.
- However, I believe the links I added, specifically to the Manual Testing and Bridge (Dentistry) articles, were relevant and offered additional, valuable information that would benefit readers seeking more in-depth knowledge on these topics. These links were not intended for promotional purposes but rather for educational enrichment.
- I request a reconsideration of the links. I'm willing to discuss their relevance and contribution to the articles further if needed. Priyajaiswal7 (talk) 06:41, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
- They were blatant linkspam and do not remotely meet Wikipedia's requirements for sourcing, which you can find at WP:MEDRS. MrOllie (talk) 11:41, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
